A Gift for Shooting Star?

Shooting Star is asking our County Commissioners to remove one of the conditions of approval for their 2005 Resort Zoning.  The change would allow 68 units to be rented short term.  This condition was placed on the development because the Commissioners were trying to make at least part of Teton Village into a real village with people who lived there rather than just vacationed there.  There was also concern about the impacts of more short term rentals.  The impacts include increased traffic on Highway 390 and more demand for workers who put more pressure on the employee housing market.   Shooting Star is already allowed short term rentals in 112 units.  Why do they need more?  Please contact the Commissioners and ask them to “vote no” on Short Term Rentals for Shooting Star.
