Ongoing Housing Dysfunction

Our local housing program is still a mess. Last week’s News&Guide front-page story highlights just one of the many problems with the new Housing Department (HD). For decades they put people in homes but did little to ensure they were actually living in them, or still qualified for them. Rumors of numerous abuses turned out to be true.
